Isaak Gudson

Diet to Live, Diet to DieMy name is Isaak Gudson, which sounds like Son of God. I'm pleased to have it that way… I was born at the most beautiful time of the year: in the spring. The land I was born in has a name, the USSR… There was such a splendid state of happy and unhappy people once upon a time in the 20th century… Not anymore…

My life happens to have begun in Central Asia, in Uzbekistan, in the God-blessed City of Bread, Tashkent… My parents were intellectual worker-builders of the ‘bright future’ so thoughtlessly squandered by heartless blind men afterward...  A happy childhood…, youth ..., adolescence…, happiness and tranquility…

First there was the crèche… that I don’t remember… then kindergarten… I remember practically everything and everyone… then school… I remember it from the first day to the last… Graduation… The night prom party… Meeting the sun in the morning… Admission to the State University, the School of Law… The molding of my personality against the background of the music of the Beatles and Bach, the songs of V.Vysotskiy, the poetry of Bella Akhmadulina and Anna Akhmatova... , Chekhov, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Conan Doyle…, evenings with friends and friends of friends, the possessors of innocent and unflustered hearts, filled with hopes, dreams and ingenious daring… Candles… Autumn… Then mild winter, spring and summer… I lived in contentment…

I have drawn since I was 12… I write poetry and prose… For my own hearty pleasure… for the people…While studying at the university I participated in exhibitions of Abstract Graphics and Political Posters… Once my work won first place… and the public servant promised me a trip to Berlin… They cheated me out of it … instead of me, a bureaucrat’s son went, who had nothing to do with the exhibition or art in general… Since then I have sketched only for myself, for those who admire my talent and for friends, and I don’t believe in promises anymore…Graduation from University… Work as an attorney…

Life blew me about like an autumn leaf torn from its branch by a strong gust of wind… Dashing me, sometimes painfully, against the walls of circumstances, my own stupidity and mistakes, and garbage bins… I survived, upholding love for life and for people…

Discovering Christ… God became the main pillar of my life… I became a Christian attorney and a pastor… I devote all my time to God, drawing, and family… Now I live in the kingdom of Sweden … I have never been as FREE AND HAPPY as in this fairy tale and so real kingdom… Here, I’m accepted, understood, helped and continuously supported… Here, I’ve obtained freedom to create, freedom to have ideas; ideas which are cherished and fostered… Long live the King and the Queen!!!

These days, as never before, I draw, paint, write prose and poetry… organize exhibitions… I live in contentment and want to keep on living happily… I sincerely desire to be of benefit to the country that has made me so happy… I have a wonderful wife, three daughters and two sons…

In my creative process THE MAIN slogan is – “To be very responsible and enormously grateful to those who have created for you the conditions for a happy life!”
